Biographical data
Szülei Stockinger Rezső és Nagel Irma voltak, két testvére született. Középiskolai tanulmányait a jezsuita Pius Gimnáziumban végezte Pécsett. 1933. augusztus 14-én lépett be a jezsuita rendbe. 1936-ban változtatta nevét Cser-re. Kínai misszióba jelentkezett, 1939. augusztusában három társával (Császár György SJ, Rab Pál SJ, Vajda Tibor SJ) indult el. Pappá Sanghajban szentelték 1945. június 6-án. 1949-ben először Kanadába került, majd később az USA-ban élt. A kínai jezsuita misszió prokurátori hivatalát is ellátta. E munkája mellett segítette „A Szív” c. újság terjesztését, és főleg írói tevékenységet folytatott. Fiatal korától verselt. Élete végét a Fordham egyetem gondozóotthonában töltötte.
