Biographical data
1894-ben szentelték pappá. 1904-ben magánokirathamisítás miatt (egy adóslevélre testvére nevét írta) a törvényszék egy év börtönre ítélte, ekkor egyházi tisztségéből is felfüggesztették. Széchényi Miklós püspök május 25-én az alábbi indoklást adta: „„Megdöbbent elmével, de a leghevesebb és legkeserűbb fájdalomtól sújtva értesítem a Tisztelendő Klérust, hogy Csizmadia Pál, mocsai káplán, a legfelsőbb polgári bíróság ítélete alapján az általa elkövetett okirathamisítás bűnében bűnösnek találtatott és börtönbüntetésre ítéltetett, és az egyházi törvények értelmében hivatalából és tisztségéből felfüggesztetett.” A börtön elől az USA-ba menekült, majd 1918-ban visszatért, de egyházi beosztást nem kapott, egyes források szerint élete hátralevő részét Csornán, betegállományban töltötte.
