Édesapja Dzubay István, édesanyja Dobé Jusztina. Dzubay Sándor testvére. Felesége Bacsinszky Anna Irma. Teológiai tanulmányait Ungváron folytatta. 1893. december 25-én szentelte pappá Firczák Gyula munkácsi püspök. 1895-1901 és 1923-1929 között szolgált az USA-ban.
