Biographical data
His father was István Chonkó, his mother was Mária, and he had three siblings. His exact place of birth cannot be identified; however, since his parents also lived in the United States, it can be assumed that he was either born there or ordained as a priest there. In 1980, he celebrated the 25th anniversary of his ordination. He served on the board of the Széchenyi Society. He died of a heart attack at the parish.
