Biographical data
He completed his secondary education at the Sárospatak Boarding School. He studied theology in Sárospatak and Debrecen from 1934 to 1938. He served as an assistant pastor at the Passaréti Reformed Church in Budapest, alongside Sándor Joó. During World War II, he served as a chaplain. After the war, he studied in Heidelberg. He arrived in the United States in 1949 and initially served in the state of Kansas. In 1950, he founded a congregation in San Francisco. In 1958, he moved to Los Angeles, where he organized the Hollywood Hungarian Reformed Church. In 1959, at the Methodist Church in Ontario, located 80 km east of Los Angeles, he established the Independent Hungarian Reformed Church of Ontario, where he served as senior pastor until 1989. In addition to his pastoral ministry, he was also an employee of the Hungarian Reformed Federation insurance company.
