Biographical data
His father was András Bacsinszky, a priest from Bacsina, and his mother was Melánia Puza (or Emília, according to other sources). He completed his theological studies in Uzhhorod. He was ordained as a celibate priest on December 11, 1898, by Gyula Firczák, Bishop of Mukachevo. In 1914, he emigrated to the United States.
