His father’s first name was Andrej. The date and place of his ordination are unknown. He arrived in the United States on June 1, 1921, aboard the ship Drottingholm, which had departed from Gothenburg, Sweden. He stated his age as 27 at the time. He listed his nationality as Czechoslovakian and his ethnicity as Hungarian.
