Biographical data

He studied theology in Pécs. He was ordained a priest on June 29, 1929. He arrived in the United States on April 6, 1938, aboard the steamship SS Rex, where his parents had already emigrated. In Trenton, NJ, he served temporarily as administrator of the Romanian church, where he had the parish building renovated. The Hungarian press also reported on his appointment as pastor in South River.
