Biographical data
A pastor of Hungarian descent who no longer speaks Hungarian.
His grandparents on both his father’s and mother’s sides were Hungarian (Moldavian Csángós). His father was György Apró, and his mother was Katalin Kótai. He studied philosophy at the Benedictine Monastery in São Paulo and theology at the Central Seminary of São Paulo. He was ordained a priest on September 15, 1982.
