Biographical data
He completed his secondary education in Nagyszombat and studied theology in Vác. He was ordained a priest on June 21, 1903. After a brief stint as an assistant pastor in Sződ, he went to America with the permission of Bishop Károly Csáky, at the request of the parish in Trenton. He accepted the position only on the condition that he would conduct services exclusively in Hungarian, preaching in English and Slovak only once a month.
He returned to Hungary after 1908.
