Biographical data
He was born in the United States, but moved back to Hungary with his parents at an early age. His wife is Erzsébet Kárpáti-Zorván. He was ordained a priest on June 16, 1940, by Bishop Pál Gojdics of Eperjes. In 1950, the communist regime banned his ministry, so he worked in a secular profession until 1968. He has been retired since 1977.
