Biographical data
A second-generation Hungarian. At his bishop’s instruction, he completed his studies in Székesfehérvár, Hungary, between 1938 and 1946. On February 8, 1945, he was arrested along with Bishop Lajos Shvoy of Székesfehérvár on charges of passing information to Soviet troops. He was ordained a priest in Eger on April 14, 1946, and returned to the United States. He suffered from heart disease, which ultimately caused his death. After a ceremony, he was on his way home when he stopped at a park to get some fresh air; there, he suffered a heart attack and passed away.
