Biographical data
His father was Bálint Gorzó, and his mother was Piroska Komlóssy. His wife was Julitta Szabó. He had one adopted son, Antal Gerebes. He pursued his theological studies in Uzhhorod. On October 13, 1892, he was ordained a priest by Bishop Gyula Firczák of Munkács. From 1900 he served as dean in Vásárhely, and in 1905 as dean in Zámony. In 1900, Emperor Franz Joseph awarded him 50 crowns. He became a canon in 1913 and a member of the Holy See Council in 1925. By 1906, he was already in the United States.
