Biographical data
His wife was Pani Yolanda Mary Grigassy; they had five children, including Gyula J. Grigássy, who also became a priest. He completed his theological studies in Uzhhorod and Budapest. He was ordained a priest in 1909. He earned a doctorate in theology from Pázmány Péter Royal University in Budapest. In 1924, he emigrated to the United States. He served as episcopal secretary for the Greek Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh.
