Biographical data
His father was Sándor Jaczkovics, a priest, and his mother was Mária Romzsa. His first wife was Irén Viszánik; his second wife was Ilona Dzubay, the daughter of the priest István Dzubay; they had three children. He pursued his theological studies in Uzhhorod. On September 28, 1890, he was ordained a priest by János Pásztélyi Kovács, Bishop of Munkács. He served in the United States from 1890 to 1902.
