He began his studies in Gelence and went on to graduate from the Roman Catholic Cantor School in Gyulafehérvár. He pursued his theological studies in Transylvania from 1987 to 1990, and then at the Central Seminary from 1990 to 1992. He then spent two years studying canon law at Saint Paul University in Ottawa, ON, Canada, where he earned a licentiate. Meanwhile, he was ordained a priest in Gelence on May 16, 1993. He earned a doctorate in canon law from 2000 to 2004 at Saint Paul University in Ottawa, ON. Consul of the Holy See, Deputy Judicial Vicar. In December 2000, he was granted the title of Consul of the Holy See. On May 20, 2020, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Tharros and Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Gyulafehérvár. Archbishop Gergely Kovács of Alba Iulia consecrated him as bishop on August 29, 2020; since then, he has served as the diocese’s general vicar.
