Biographical data

He is a second-generation Hungarian. His parents were Mihály Kish and Teréz Bellencs; he had four siblings. He graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1935. He completed his theological studies at St. Meinrad Seminary and was ordained a priest on June 6, 1943.
