Biographical data
His first name was Ernő Miklósházy. He was originally a seminarian in the Diocese of Košice, but in 1909 he was transferred to the Diocese of Csanád. He was ordained a priest in Timișoara on June 30, 1910. He celebrated his first Mass in Máriaradna. He arrived in the United States in August 1914 to visit family, but was unable to return home due to the war situation. In 1934, he became a papal prelate. In 1957, he was a member of the Hungarian Refugee Resettlement Committee. He served as chairman of the supervisory board of the American Hungarian Catholic League and as spiritual director of the National Hungarian Catholic Insurance Company.
