Biographical data
His father was József Kustán, a priest, and his mother was Anna Tabakovics. His wife was Ilona Takács, and they had three children. Between 1878 and 1881, he participated in the occupation of Bosnia as a lieutenant. He pursued his theological studies in Uzhhorod. On January 7, 1886, he was ordained a priest by János Pásztélyi Kovács, Bishop of Munkács.
He served in the United States beginning in 1921.
He died of a stroke. His grave is located at Saint John’s Greek Catholic Cemetery in Pottstown, PA, USA.
