Biographical data
His father was Bazil Medvigy, and his mother was Anna Szuchányi. His wife was Ligia Mária Petronella Dudinszky, and they had two children. Some sources list his first name as Gusztáv. He pursued his theological studies in Uzhhorod. On August 16, 1936, he was ordained a priest by Bishop Sándor Sztojka of Munkács. In 1945, he fled to the United States to escape Soviet reprisals.
