Biographical data
László Miskei was born on October 27, 1966, in Nagykürtös, in what was then Czechoslovakia. He completed his seminary studies in Bratislava between 1985 and 1990, and was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Rožňava on June 16, 1990. After serving in Slovakia, he moved to North America: he served in Yonkers in 1998, in Florida and Baltimore in 1999, and again in Yonkers in 2000. In 2004, he was incardinated into the Diocese of St. Catharines, Canada, where he became pastor of the Our Lady of Hungary Parish in Welland. He currently serves as pastor of the Hungarian parish in Welland. In 2023, he suffered from serious health problems and spent months recovering.
