He was born on May 12, 1907. He became a member of the Missionary Society, commonly known as the Lazarists; he entered the order and took his vows on August 26, 1926, and was ordained a priest on February 16, 1934. He served as a member of the Eastern U.S. Province of the Lazarists. From 1951 to 1960, he worked as a seminary professor in Philadelphia; he later served in Greensboro and then in Jackson. In 1985, he was listed under the name August P. Nagy in the records of St. Vincent’s Seminary in Philadelphia. In 1992, he was still listed in the Hungarian Catholic Directory.
