Biographical data
He was ordained a priest in 1888. In 1903, he emigrated to the United States after—according to some sources—leaving behind a large debt, which he intended to pay off from there. At that time, he requested to be released from the Diocese of Banská Bystrica, a request his bishop granted. According to records, during the “great storm” of 1913, he and 75 families in his parish lost everything. He was the director of the Kneipp-style hydrotherapy institute in Lorian, OH.
