Biographical data
His father was Father Cirill Rakovszky, and his mother was Melánia Szoták. His wife was Olga Bacsinszky, and they had two children. He pursued his theological studies in Uzhhorod. On December 19, 1909, he was ordained a priest by Bishop Gyula Firczák of Munkács. From 1924 to 1926, he served as dean of the Vinna deanery. In 1926, he emigrated to the United States, and from then on served as a priest in the Greek Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh, PA.
