Pál Repcsik, known in the United States as Paul Repchik, was born on February 8, 1885, in Nagylomnic, Szepesség, to Pál Repcsik and Mária Schulcz. He completed his high school studies in Lőcse, then became a student at the seminary in Kassa; a contemporary roster from 1908 lists him as a seminarian in Kassa. He was ordained a priest on February 6, 1909. His first assignment was in Tőketerebes, where he served as an assistant pastor. During World War I, beginning in 1914, he served as a field chaplain. In recognition of his work, he was awarded the Cross of Merit for Chaplains, adorned with the Franz Joseph ribbon; he was wounded twice (according to other sources, five times) during the war. After the war, he served as an assistant pastor in Bártfa, then as a parish priest in Zemplén-Pelej.

In 1921, he arrived in the United States aboard the Susquehanna. After a brief stint in Northampton, he became rector of the St. Stephen Hungarian Catholic Parish in McAdoo, Pennsylvania. From there, he was transferred to Northampton in June 1923, where he was appointed interim rector and later pastor of the Hungarian parish of Our Lady of Hungary. He led the parish for more than twenty-seven years, and during his tenure, the parish underwent numerous improvements. He spoke several languages and was one of the longest-serving pastors of the Hungarian Catholic community in Pennsylvania. He passed away in Northampton on July 20, 1950. He was laid to rest at Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery.
