Biographical data
He completed his theological studies in Uzhhorod, and on December 16, 1906, Bishop Gyula Firczák of Munkács ordained him as a priest.
He began his ministry as an assistant pastor in Huszt (Máramaros County) from 1906 to 1907. He then served in the United States from 1907 to 1910. After his return, he served as parish priest in Tiszaújhely (Ugocsa County) from 1910 to 1913 and in Tiszabökény (Máramaros County) from 1913 to 1944. From 1945 to 1949, he served as pastor in Fakóbükk (Ugocsa County).
From 1907 to 1910, he served in the United States, though his specific place of service, diocese, or parish is unknown.
On March 3, 1949, under pressure from the Soviet authorities, he renounced his Catholic faith and continued to serve as an Orthodox priest in Fakóbükk. He died there on May 18, 1950.
His wife was Erzsébet Balog (1883–1960), the daughter of Father Bálint Balogh and Irma Bacsinszky.
