Biographical data

He entered the Franciscan Order on August 29, 1932. His novice master was P. Seler Szolán. He took his perpetual vows on March 29, 1938. He completed his studies in philosophy at Csíksomlyó and in theology at Vajdahunyad. He was ordained a priest on June 29, 1939. In 1943, the Order sent him to Rome to study biblical studies, from where he was unable to return home, so he was sent to the United States in 1948. From 1964 to 1976, he served as the head of the custodianship.
