Biographical data
He entered the Marianist Province in 1936. Beginning in 1938, he studied at the Antonianum in Rome. He was ordained a priest on July 13, 1941, and earned his doctorate in philosophy in 1945. He left Hungary for good in 1945. In 1958, he moved to South America. In 1961, he was elected president of the Venezuelan Council of the Hungarian Liberation Committee.
Ede Dömötör was held in high esteem and respect within the community, and his portrait, painted by László Kay, still hangs on the wall of the Hungarian House in Caracas.
