Biographical data
He entered the Franciscan Order on September 5, 1907. He took his perpetual vows on September 7, 1913. He was ordained a priest on February 1, 1916.
On July 26, 1930 (according to other sources, in 1924), he arrived in the United States aboard the steamship Berengaria, and then returned to Czechoslovakia.
He survived the 1932 New Brunswick fire, but his health deteriorated, so he was ordered home.
He returned to the United States for the second time on October 5, 1938, aboard the Normadie. He was primarily involved in Slovak-language pastoral work.
