Biographical data
Original name: Erdmann (In Gábor Molnár’s cited work, a Salesian named Erdey and another named Erdmann are mentioned separately, but these two individuals are presumably one and the same.)
He entered the Salesian Order in Nyergesújfalu and completed his novitiate in Péliföldszentkereszt. He took his vows in 1923 and left for Cuba as a missionary in 1927. There, he edited a newspaper and founded a sports club. He was ordained a priest in Havana in 1932. He was the victim of a car accident.
