Biographical data
He completed his high school studies in Nagykanizsa. He entered the Franciscan Order in Pécs on September 4, 1901. He completed his theological studies in Baja. He took his perpetual vows on June 25, 1907. He was ordained a priest on September 22, 1908. In 1920, he was arrested by Czechoslovak authorities, tortured, and then expelled from the country. He arrived in the United States on March 6, 1924. He served in the Hungarian pastoral ministry until 1931, when he joined the Croatian Franciscans, and then returned to the service of the Hungarians in 1934.
