He graduated in 1989 from the Faculty of Humanities at ELTE with a degree in history and Latin, and then entered the Central Seminary (Budapest) as a secular seminarian. He joined the Society of Jesus on September 6, 1990. He studied philosophy in Munich, then served as an organizer at the Faludi Ferenc Academy for a year and a half. He completed his theological studies in Dublin, Ireland. He was ordained a priest in Budapest on August 8, 1998. He took his solemn vows in 2006 in Miskolc.
