He entered the Benedictine Order on May 30, 1915, took his solemn vows on June 28, 1939, and was ordained a priest on June 16, 1940. He earned a doctorate in philosophy. He left the country in 1945. He served in Paris from 1946 to 1960. He lived in Brazil from 1960 onward. His name is also known in the form Gácsér. He was Rector of the Könyves Kálmán Free University until 1990.
