Biographical data
His parents were Ferenc Gunszt and Mária Neumann; he had six siblings. He entered the order in Szécsény on August 9, 1923. He served as a missionary in China starting in 1929. After being expelled from China in 1953, he arrived in the United States via Honolulu. In 1959, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Milwaukee; that same year, he was involved in a serious car accident. He has been a member of the Knights of Columbus since 1968.
