Biographical data
He entered the Society of Jesus in Nagyszombat on July 30, 1908, while in his sixth year of secondary school. He graduated from high school in Kalocsa. From 1913 to 1915, he studied philosophy at the college of the exiled French province in Jersey, England. He completed the first two years of his theological studies between 1916 and 1917, also in England, in Hastings, under the jurisdiction of the French Lyon Province. He was ordained a priest in Hastings, England, in 1917. As novice master of the order, he carried out his duties with great insight into human nature, prudence, and firm guidance; he introduced approximately one hundred and seventy young men to the monastic life.
