Biographical data
His father’s name was József Horváth, and his mother’s was Irén Sebestyén. He entered the Benedictine Order on August 6, 1943. He took his solemn vows on September 24, 1947. He was ordained a priest in Einsiedeln on June 10, 1949. From 1949 to 1958, he studied theology in Rome, after which he emigrated to the United States. He received U.S. citizenship in 1959.
