Biographical data
He entered the order on August 6, 1935. He took his solemn vows on June 28, 1940. He was ordained a priest on June 22, 1941. In 1948, he was briefly arrested for protesting the nationalization of schools. After his release, he left the country. He lived in the United States from 1948 onward. He was the founder of Woodside Priory School. In recognition of his work, the Hungarian Catholic Bishops’ Conference awarded him the Pro Cultura Christiana Prize in 2007. He is a recipient of the Golden Cross of Merit of the Republic of Hungary.
