Biographical data
His mother’s name was Blanka Weisz. He completed his high school studies in Paks. In his fifth year of high school, he entered the minor seminary in Pécs, and on August 14, 1938, he joined the Society of Jesus. He completed his novitiate in Manréza, then studied theology in Szeged from 1944 and in Rome from 1946. He was ordained a priest on June 26, 1947. Although he was primarily interested in philosophy, he began studying psychology between 1949 and 1954 for the sake of the order, and later earned his doctorate in Leuven. He was sent to Brazil in 1954 and returned to Europe in 1975. He is the author of numerous books on psychology.
