Biographical data
He entered the order on September 26, 1944, and completed his novitiate in Manréza from 1944 to 1946. From 1947 to 1949, he studied philosophy in Szeged. In 1949, he defected across the “green border”; he then wanted to request assignment to a mission in China, but was unable to do so, so he went to Mexico, where he studied Spanish and served as a boarding school supervisor from 1951 to 1952. From 1953 to 1956, he studied theology in Bogotá, Colombia. He was ordained a priest on December 3, 1954, and took his final vows on August 15, 1958. He died of heart disease at the age of 44.
