He had three siblings. His catechism teacher was Blessed Vilmos Apor. He entered the order on August 14, 1938. He completed his novitiate in Budapest at Manréza. From 1942 to 1944, he studied philosophy in Košice. In 1947, he began his theological studies in Szeged, but after one year he continued in Leuven, where he graduated in 1950. He was ordained a priest on August 24, 1949. He completed his tertianship in Wépion. He took his final vows on August 15, 1952. He died of stomach cancer after undergoing two unsuccessful surgeries.
