He joined the order in 1978. He completed his theological studies at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum) in Rome, where he earned a master’s degree in theology. As a Premonstratensian monk, he was ordained a priest on June 25, 1984. He is not of Hungarian descent, but he has learned Hungarian well. In addition, he speaks German, Spanish, and English. In 2005, he left the order and was incardinated into the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. He provides pastoral care to the archdiocese’s German-, Hungarian-, Spanish-, and English-speaking parishioners.
